About private fence

In order for a fence to be a privacy fence it should be at least seven feet tall. You might be able to make it taller unless local laws say otherwise.

A privacy fence usually can't be seen through because the boards are side by side. This rule applies to all parts of the fence except at the top. Usually, the tops of these fences have some sort crisscrossing pattern or some ornate design. Too much fancy detail is not recommended. The fancier the fence the more attention it will draw, thereby defeating its purpose.

There are many reasons why people need privacy fences. Such as living in a coyote or wild animal infested area, keeping kids from wandering outside, or privacy from neighbors.

Living in a suburb can be tough, particularly if you enjoy peace, quiet and privacy. Usually, your home will be adjacent to two other homes. What separates you is the backyard fence. If your fence has many holes in it or if it is too low, you won't have the solitude you want. You'll be able to see what your neighbors do and they'll be able to see what you do. A fence built for privacy is the best solution for such a problem.
