Vinyl fence installationAbout vinyl fence Installing a vinyl fence takes about the same amount of effort as putting up a wood fence. Because vinyl fencing weighs less than wood, you don't need to be particularly strong to install a vinyl fence. One need not possess craftsman skills to create a private wonderland because the elements of a vinyl fence are pre-formed. It also takes less time to finish a fencing project when using vinyl. When you purchase vinyl fencing, you'll immediately notice that most sections are unassembled. Don't worry, because assembly can be quite easy. Some of the fence styles can't be assembled ahead of time because certain sections have to be held together after the rails are slid into the posts. Even so, it should only take a few minutes to assemble each fencing section. If you can build a wooden fence, you can easily put up a vinyl fence and save thousands of dollars in the process. The sections are lightweight and easy to handle. In fact, most people think the hardest part about installing a vinyl fence is digging the postholes and mixing the concrete. Besides the tools needed to mix the concrete and dig the holes, you will need a level and string. Once you determine where you want the fence located, dig the first two holes, assemble a section of a fence and place them in the holes. After that, simply add a new section of the fence one hole at a time until you have completed your perimeter. Once you've finished it, step back and look at the fence at a distance. If you're happy with its height and location, then pour the concrete into the holes around the posts. If you're not satisfied, the fence is easily adjustable by raising or lowering sections and be sure to level the posts.
